Client Support Specialist

PRIMARY ROLE:
The individual in this role will deliver exceptional customer service to all clients of Peerless Chain, as well as collaborate with internal team members. Utilizing comprehensive knowledge of company offerings, the representative will provide both verbal and written assistance to meet customer needs while working closely with the external sales management team for ongoing development.
REPORTING STRUCTURE:
This position reports directly to the Customer Service Supervisor and maintains a collaborative relationship with all departments.
REQUIREMENTS:
A degree in a relevant field is preferred, or prior experience in sales within a manufacturing context. The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in data entry across multiple systems and possess strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Familiarity with Microsoft Office is essential, and experience with JD Edwards software is advantageous.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage all customer phone orders, inquiries, complaints, or issues.
- Ensure that all proposals, quotes, and customer communications are accurately prepared and submitted punctually.
- Facilitate customer orders and quotations efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with all internal and external departments at Peerless Chain.
- Receive, categorize, and process new customer orders and modifications.
- Engage with customers to resolve disputes and amend contracts as necessary.
- Coordinate shipping releases.
- Draft correspondence to gather additional customer information or address disputes.
- Collaborate closely with outside sales managers to support customer needs.
- Maintain organized files of all documentation in relevant systems.
- Regular attendance is crucial for the role; unplanned absences may disrupt departmental operations.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.

While fulfilling the duties of this role, the employee will primarily engage in sedentary activities, requiring effective communication through listening, speaking, and writing. The employee will frequently walk, sit, and use hands for various tasks. Occasionally, the employee may need to stand and must be able to lift or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision capabilities required for this role include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
