Key Responsibilities- Employee Relations
- Process employee enrollment and termination paperwork, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Monitor performance review schedules and update employee information systems as needed.
- Assist with arranging post-offer employment testing, reasonable suspicion testing, and other employee-related activities.
- Coordinate new hire orientation, including assembling orientation binders and assisting with the onboarding process.
- Register employees for training activities and conferences, and obtain certificates of completion.
- Manage petty cash and prepare deposits for finance as needed.
- Employee Data Base Systems
- Utilize the Human Resource Information System to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Scan paper documents into the system and assist with documenting training and development activities.
- Act as backup for payroll activities and ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Confidential Typing
- Handle sensitive correspondence and recordkeeping duties, including wage and salary reports, sexual harassment issues, and employment verifications.
- Employee Recognition
- Track and maintain service award programs, ensuring timely recognition of employee milestones.
- Clerical Functions
- Prepare notices and flyers for bulletin boards and the Welcome monitor.
- Design and type reports and presentations, including charts, tables, and graphics.
- Maintain organizational charts and employee directories.
- Sort payroll-related documents for distribution to employees.
- Receive and direct visitors, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Securely collect and file documents in an organized manner.
- Safety & Worker's Compensation
- Prepare reports to verify employee eligibility for safety bonuses and communicate with key contacts.
- Employee Activities and Event Coordination
- Track and coordinate employee activities and special events, ensuring timely and effective communication.
- Safety Supplies
- Maintain adequate supplies of safety equipment and distribute as needed.
- Process invoices for payment and payroll deductions.
- HR Areas of Knowledge
- Continuously learn and develop knowledge of human resource topics to support growth within the position.
