Client Support Specialist

BASIC FUNCTION :
This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to all clients of Peerless Chain, as well as collaborating with internal team members. The representative will utilize comprehensive knowledge of company offerings to provide both verbal and written support for customer inquiries and requirements, while also working closely with the sales management team for further client development.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP :
Reports directly to the Customer Service Supervisor and maintains a close working relationship with all departments.
QUALIFICATIONS :
An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred, or equivalent experience in sales within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in entering data accurately across multiple systems is essential. Candidates must possess professional communication skills, with the ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office is required, and familiarity with JD Edwards software is advantageous.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Manage all customer phone orders, inquiries, complaints, or issues.
- Ensure that all proposals, quotations, and customer correspondence are prepared accurately and submitted punctually.
- Expedite customer orders and quotations effectively.
- Communicate and collaborate with all internal and external departments at Peerless Chain.
- Receive, code, and process new customer orders and amendments.
- Negotiate with customers, address disputes, and amend contracts as necessary.
- Coordinate shipping releases efficiently.
- Generate correspondence to obtain additional customer information or resolve disputes.
- Work closely with outside sales managers to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain organized files of all documentation in the appropriate systems.
- Regular attendance is crucial for this role, as unplanned absences can disrupt departmental operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
