BASIC FUNCTION :

This role is essential in delivering exceptional customer service to all clients of Peerless Chain, as well as collaborating with internal team members. The representative will leverage comprehensive knowledge of company offerings to address customer inquiries and requirements effectively. This includes providing both verbal and written assistance while working closely with the external sales management team for further client development.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP :

Reports directly to the Customer Service Supervisor and maintains a collaborative relationship with all departments.

QUALIFICATIONS :

An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred, or prior experience in sales within a manufacturing or factory setting. The ability to accurately and efficiently input data into various systems is crucial. Candidates must possess professional communication skills, with proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office is required, and familiarity with JD Edwards software is advantageous.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  1. Manage all customer phone orders, inquiries, complaints, or issues.
  2. Ensure that all proposals, quotations, and customer communications are prepared accurately and submitted punctually.
  3. Expedite customer orders and quotations efficiently.
  4. Communicate effectively with all internal and external departments at Peerless Chain.
  5. Receive, code, and process new customer orders and modifications.
  6. Negotiate with clients, assess disputes, and amend contracts as necessary.
  7. Coordinate shipping releases.
  8. Generate correspondence to gather additional customer information or resolve disputes.
  9. Collaborate closely with outside sales managers to meet customer needs.
  10. Maintain organized files of all documentation in the appropriate systems.
  11. Regular attendance is critical for this role; unplanned absences can disrupt departmental operations and affect overall company effectiveness.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
