Position Overview:

As a Fleet Operations Supervisor at Penske, you will leverage your strong communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities to effectively lead your team of diesel technicians, ensuring high morale and customer satisfaction. Your primary responsibilities will include the coordination, scheduling, and oversight of vehicle maintenance tasks, encompassing preventative measures as well as mechanical and electrical repairs for trucks, tractors, and trailers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the hiring, training, and continuous development of vehicle maintenance technicians to maintain a skilled workforce that meets customer demands.
  • Assign and prioritize tasks to ensure timely responses to customer needs.
  • Maintain compliance with quality and safety standards for all Penske assets.
  • Manage repair, inventory, and labor costs effectively.
  • Foster a positive work environment by coaching and mentoring technicians and customer service representatives.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment through effective facility management.
  • Perform additional duties as required by management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fleet maintenance management or team leadership in a metrics-driven environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate's or Technical School degree is preferred.
  • Strong customer service and organizational skills are essential.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and web-based tools, is preferred.
  • Ability to adhere to safety regulations and practices as established by Penske and relevant authorities.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves frequent movement, standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting for extended periods. The ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally is required. Associates must be capable of working safely at heights and in various weather conditions.
