Regional Fleet Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a network of external repair facilities to guarantee that Hub Group vehicles receive essential maintenance.
- Manage and optimize maintenance expenditures to enhance the efficiency of vehicles and operators.
- Provide guidance and instructions for repairs to external service providers.
- Supervise preventive maintenance cycles and ensure adherence to DOT regulations.
- Deliver outstanding customer support to terminal supervisors and operators requiring maintenance services.
- Ensure prompt and precise communication and updates to Operations, Customer Service, and Safety departments.
- Negotiate repair costs with independent service providers and authorize external vendor repairs.
- Approve and manage emergency repair situations.
- Efficiently handle all maintenance-related transactions within the management system.
- Assist in analyzing, developing, and executing strategic action plans.
- Play a vital role in expanding the branches (business unit) by enhancing customer loyalty, growth, and new business opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and all applicable federal, state, provincial, and local regulations across all locations within the assigned branches or business unit.
- Collaborate with various functional teams to achieve operational excellence standards.
- At least 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance leadership with an emphasis on cost efficiency and minimizing downtime.
- Proven ability to effectively utilize technology and propose continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong understanding of DOT guidelines, preventive maintenance schedules, and maintenance best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with operators, terminal supervisors, and external vendors.
- Capability to efficiently prioritize and manage tasks in a dynamic work environment.
- Willingness to travel within the designated territory as required.
Compensation:
$75,000 - $85,000 annually
This is an estimated salary range based on various factors, including skills, experience, education, market conditions, geographical location, budget considerations, and demand.
