About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Services Representative to join our team at Area Substance Abuse Council. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Check-in and Intake: Perform patient check-in with precision, accurately updating demographic information and collecting financial and insurance details.
  • Customer Service: Provide a welcoming and caring environment for patients, greeting them and notifying staff of their arrival.
  • Office Operations: Manage office opening and closing duties, ensuring tidiness in waiting areas, reception, and staff areas.
  • Communication and Scheduling: Direct incoming calls to the right departments or staff members, schedule and confirm patient appointments, and verify insurance eligibility.
  • Financial Management: Collect patient payments, reconcile cash drawers, and assist with generating claims.
  • Correspondence and Record-Keeping: Manage patient correspondence, maintain closed file records, and assist with data checking procedures.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma/GED and strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication and previous experience with a multi-line phone system.
  • Background Check: Ability to successfully complete an extensive background check process.
