Role Overview

The Regional Human Resources Generalist plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with employment laws and best practices within our operations. This position collaborates closely with store management to enhance HR functions and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stay informed on Federal and State employment regulations to guide store leaders in compliance efforts.
  • Partner with management to implement effective human resources strategies.
  • Facilitate recruitment and onboarding processes, focusing on high turnover areas.
  • Support regular employee benefits education initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Regional HR Manager to conduct thorough employee relations investigations.
  • Assist with various HR projects and research initiatives as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the HR department.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Safeguard the dealership's legal and ethical standards.
  • Educate employees on company policies and benefits.
  • Foster a culture of support and success among team members.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements and enhanced customer service.

Reporting Structure:

This position reports directly to the New Mexico Regional Human Resources Manager.

  • Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive employee and company matters.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in human resources; certifications such as SHRM or HRCI are preferred.
  • Experience in conducting employee relations investigations is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for managing confidential situations.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in public speaking is advantageous.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work primarily in an office environment with occasional dealership visits.
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move throughout the facilities.
  • Willingness to travel as required for the role.
  • Maintain a valid Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy.
