Job Summary:

The Safe Horizon Supervised Visitation Program seeks a qualified professional to provide safe and supportive environments for visitation between children and their non-custodial parents. As a Visitation Monitor, you will play a critical role in facilitating positive interactions and ensuring the well-being of all parties involved.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor visits between non-custodial parents and their children, providing a safe and neutral environment for interaction.
  2. Conduct intake interviews and assess families to determine suitability for the Supervised Visitation Program.
  3. Assist in preparing reports for the court and maintain accurate records of sessions, attendance, and statistics.
  4. Attend internal and external meetings, trainings, and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills.

Requirements:

  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to be assertive and well-organized.
  • Bachelor's degree in a Social Services-related field or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of the Family Court and criminal justice system is preferred, as well as bilingual skills (Spanish) and understanding of domestic violence dynamics.
