Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Neuro Transitional Care team as a New Grad RN Resident. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced caregivers and provide patient-centered care to individuals with complex neurological conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients with ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, subdural hematomas, status epilepticus/seizures, brain tumors, neuromuscular disorders, and spinal injuries.
- Participate in a year-long residency program, customized to fit your needs and pace, where you will develop clinical judgment, cultivate excellent communication skills, and acquire complex nursing skills.
- Work collaboratively with a coach to guide you toward success and provide support in your professional development.
- Contribute to a supportive caregiver family that is united in shared values and purpose to fulfill our promise of being the best place to receive care and the best place to work in healthcare.
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Obtain Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire or within one year of beginning work in the Emergency Department.
- Meet the requirements for cancer-specific certification or demonstrate ongoing qualifying education within the timeframe of the facility's accreditation cycle, if working in medical oncology, radiation oncology, cancer center, or cancer clinic and/or administering chemotherapy within an accredited Cleveland Clinic facility.
