Responsibilities:- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the MICU, working closely with a coach to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
- Participate in a residency core curriculum to develop your knowledge and skills in critical care nursing.
- Establish and revise priorities for patient care activities based on patient acuity, preference, and resource availability.
- Initiate and maintain interventions to ensure continuity of safe and effective care for patients.
- Respond to data indicating risk to individual's health and initiate action to correct, reduce, or prevent the risk.
- Seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
- Comply with established hospital and departmental personnel policies.
- Use communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes.
- Document patient information in the medical record according to established guidelines.
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- BSN preferred.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) must be presented upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) Certification must be presented upon hire or within the first year of employment.
