Key Responsibilities- Participate in a comprehensive residency program that includes a core curriculum and individualized learning plans.
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of experienced nurses and physicians.
- Establish and prioritize patient care activities based on acuity of need, patient preference, and resource availability.
- Initiate and maintain interventions to ensure continuity of safe and effective care for patients.
- Respond to data indicating risk to individual's health and initiate action to correct, reduce, or prevent the risk.
- Seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
- Comply with established hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Use effective communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes.
- Document patient care activities in accordance with established guidelines.
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Additional certifications may be required based on unit or department.
