Cleveland Clinic's Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Registered Nurse Resident to join our team. As a RN Resident, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced nurses and develop your skills in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities- Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs
- Provide direct nursing care, alongside a coach, in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization
- Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care activities based on acuity of need, patient preference, and resource availability
- Initiate and/or maintain interventions to assure continuity of safe/effective care for patients
- Respond to data indicating risk to individual's health and initiate action to correct, reduce, or prevent the risk
- Seek supervision, consultation, assistance when unable to perform safely and comply with established hospital/department personnel policies
- Use communication strategies in order to achieve desirable outcomes
- Document in patient's medical record according to established guidelines
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
- BSN preferred
- Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN)
- Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) must be presented upon hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) Certification must be presented upon hire or within first year of employment
