Job Title: Site Supervisor/Shift Leader II

Job Overview: The Shift Leader serves as a primary responder during emergency scenarios. This role involves overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance at a mechanical level while managing a dedicated team. The supervisor is responsible for coordinating maintenance tasks and ensuring operational readiness in response to BHS and PBB issues and service requests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain safe working practices consistently.
  • Evaluate and troubleshoot intricate mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Conduct inspections and diagnostics on mechanical systems.
  • Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with various stakeholders regarding work performed and the status of specialized systems.
  • Interpret engineering schematics related to system layout, location, and functionality.
  • Address faults, alarms, and alerts promptly.
  • Oversee reporting through CMMS, including the generation and closure of work orders.
  • Respond to communications from the Control Room or management.
  • Act on messages from Operations Teams concerning preventive or corrective maintenance.
  • Conduct monthly CM/PM, which includes inspection, adjustment, cleaning, and replacement of parts as necessary.
  • Supervise team members assigned to the shift.
  • Ensure the quality of maintenance performed on-site aligns with contractual agreements with clients.
  • Manage on-site system issues collaboratively with the maintenance team, management, and clients.
  • Establish and uphold work schedules to guarantee fulfillment of contractual obligations.
  • Assist the Manager with daily operations and assume managerial responsibilities in their absence.
  • Ensure adequate supply levels of spare parts, tools, office supplies, and personal protective equipment while managing vendor relationships.
  • Initiate process enhancements to promote continuous improvement in maintenance performance.
  • Monitor compliance with housekeeping standards across all operational areas.
  • Independently handle various technical tasks.
  • Identify and prioritize issues requiring additional attention.
  • Resolve problems that disrupt daily operations.
  • Provide training to less experienced team members.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of technical experience in an industrial setting.
  • Experience with mechanical, electrical, and control systems (PLC, PC).
  • A minimum of 2 years in a Lead Technician role.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in Material Handling.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience with CMMS is preferred.

Position Type: Full-time; 24/7 operations; three shifts; overtime, weekend, and holiday work are common.

Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This role includes supervisory duties over team members.

Work Environment: The physical demands and work environment for this position include working in secured baggage handling areas, repair stations, or on airfields. Employees must meet strict deadlines to maintain flight schedules and communicate via radio. The role is physically demanding, requiring frequent bending, stooping, and reaching, as well as lifting and moving items over 50 pounds. Employees may work in loud environments and are exposed to various mechanical and environmental factors.

Other Responsibilities: This job description is not exhaustive and may be subject to change. This is a full-time, non-exempt position eligible for an hourly wage and participation in an annual performance bonus program. The hourly rate reflects the maximum and minimum starting pay for this position. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's skills and experience.
