Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business Support Specialist to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for implementing and executing business support processes that align with company policies and government compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with weekly payroll processing and maintain accurate staff vacation calendars.
  • Point of contact for district location responsible licensing and other local district tasks.
  • Process I9 verification for new employees and code, process, and approve invoices through the AP system.
  • Assist with vendor setups and check requests, and act as district contact for Fleet management.
  • Responsible for district office supply ordering and facilitates certified payroll reporting.
  • Process payroll corrections as needed and request Certificates of Insurance.
  • Order uniforms as needed for district office technician staff and work accrued receipts.
  • Back up for Business Support functions in Area as needed and perform other duties assigned by Area Business Operations Manager.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detailed oriented and organized with ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong sense of urgency and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interface with all levels of management and prioritize work volumes with limited supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working for a large public company.
  • 2-year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven success using MS PowerPoint presentation and Access Database software.
