Position Overview:

Discover does not provide sponsorship for employment work visas for this role. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Accountable for overseeing projects from conception to execution. Manages all facets of the project throughout its lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery. Guides project teams to ensure timely completion, adherence to budget, and fulfillment of business objectives. Proactively identifies and escalates risks and issues affecting customers during daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serves as a bridge between business stakeholders and development teams. Oversees all elements of each project. Directs project teams to ensure timely delivery, budget compliance, and alignment with business goals.
  • Forms project teams. Defines roles and responsibilities for all resources involved. Ensures project milestones are monitored and team members provide regular updates.
  • Assists in analyzing business requirements. Manages project scope, challenges, and risks. Ensures proper execution of change controls. Estimates workload and allocates resources effectively.
  • Records meeting agendas, minutes, action items, project timelines, and issue logs. Communicates project status to stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

At a minimum, we require:

  • A bachelor’s degree in fields such as Information Technology, Business Administration, Project Management, Finance, or related disciplines.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in Project Management, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Risk Management, or related fields.
  • Alternatively, 8+ years of relevant experience in Project Management or related areas may substitute for formal education.

Preferred Qualifications

We would also appreciate:

  • Over 8 years of experience in Project Management, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Risk Management, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with Agile and/or Kanban methodologies.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Compensation:

The salary for this position typically ranges from $88,500 to $149,000. Additional incentives may be part of a competitive total compensation package. Factors such as geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may influence the salary for this role.
