About the Role

The Senior Project Manager for Gap Marketing will play a key role in establishing best-in-class communication and workflows within the Marketing Operations team.

This individual will collaborate with cross-functional partners, including Creative, Editorial, and Brand Marketing teams, to ensure scope and schedule expectations are clearly defined and met by all team members during the in-season pipeline.

They will track the creative through all pipeline milestones from in-season kick-off to final leadership approval, guiding cross-functional partners toward timely development and approval.

The Senior Project Manager will oversee Campaign project management - from kick-off through to final delivery for monthly marketing campaigns and Brand Projects.

This person will have a keen eye on key marketing milestones, review dates, and will work with cross-functional partners to ensure that creative, strategy, and production teams have everything they need to deliver the work on time, ensuring high-quality creative.

The Senior Project Manager may have 1-2 direct reports that they will oversee and develop their skills and behaviors so that they enforce best practices within the creative development and project pipeline.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and clearly communicate overall campaign timelines and project deliverables.
  • Navigate competing project priorities and troubleshoot challenges.
  • Eliminate time-sensitive bottlenecks with day-to-day escalations.
  • Foster relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure that the team is delivering against asks while creating an environment that allows for white space and creativity.
  • Work closely with internal and external partner teams to identify more efficient workflows.
  • Plan, lead, and execute internal and external workflows and collaboration meetings, ensuring an effective exchange of information and deliverables.
  • Balance workforce with demands in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of relevant experience working in ad agency, traffic department, and/or project management role.
  • Experience managing others.
  • Expert knowledge of content creation and production processes; ideally in a retail environment.
  • Highly process-oriented with superior skills in adhering to and further optimizing defined operational structures.
  • Comfort level with working in a fast-paced environment, partnering with teams to move through ambiguity.
  • Comfort level with project management tools.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, seasoned critical thinking skills, and excellent written and verbal communication.
