As a Senior Project Manager, you will ensure that these ground-up multifamily projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. Along with this, you'll lead and mentor project teams, including project managers, superintendents, and field staff.

Description

  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Coordinate project phases from pre-construction through to final closeout, ensuring alignment with project goals and client expectations.
  • Lead project kick-off meetings and establish clear objectives and deliverables.
  • Prepare, manage, and track project budgets, including cost estimates, financial forecasts, and expenditures.
  • Monitor project costs, manage change orders, and ensure that the project remains within the approved budget.
  • Provide financial reporting and analysis to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring that milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate and manage the activities of subcontractors, suppliers, and other project team members.
  • Address and resolve scheduling conflicts and delays promptly.
  • Lead and mentor project teams, including project managers, superintendents, and field staff.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, promoting effective communication and problem-solving.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide guidance to team members.
  • Ensure that all work complies with local building codes, zoning laws, and regulations specific to San Francisco.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment on-site.
  • Conduct safety meetings and training sessions to maintain high safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, change orders, progress reports, and compliance records.
  • Prepare and submit regular status reports and documentation to stakeholders and senior management.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CCM) is preferred.
  • 8-15 years of experience in construction management, with a strong focus on multifamily and affordable housing projects.
  • Proven leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Expertise in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend), budgeting tools, and knowledge of building codes and regulations specific to San Francisco.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Familiarity with local building codes, zoning laws, and regulations specific to affordable housing projects in San Francisco.
  • PMP, CCM, or similar certifications are a plus.
  • Not for New York City Applicants.
