The Growing Years of Burlington is a licensed childcare facility in search of experienced Lead Educators to guide our
  • Preschool
  • Pre-K
age groups. To be ELIGIBLE for this Lead Educator position, candidates must possess a high school diploma and successfully complete all necessary background checks. A minimum of 6 credits in early childhood education courses is required. Preference will be given to those with an associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood education, or a completed degree with at least 12 credits in early childhood education or its equivalent. Previous experience in childcare is advantageous.

Required Shift: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm or 8:00am - 5:00pm

Compensation: $16-$18 per hour, commensurate with education and experience.

Our Recruitment Process for Early Childhood Educators:
  1. Resume Review
  2. Initial Phone Interview with Recruiter (30 minutes)

Key Responsibilities for Lead Educators:
  • Develop lesson plans that are developmentally suitable one week in advance, utilizing current curriculum guides.
  • Execute lesson plans/curriculum weekly, addressing all aspects of child development while adhering to the classroom schedule and daily routine; effectively use our parent communication application.
  • Build a professional rapport with each family to ensure quality care for the children.
  • Oversee the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs, and maintaining a clean, organized, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.
  • Maintain child assessments and portfolios for each child, as well as conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences in November and May.
  • Possess the physical ability to engage with small children, including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and meet all physical demands of the role.
  • Fulfill daily responsibilities related to the care of the children in the classroom.
