Position Overview

The Recovery Room Registered Nurse is responsible for overseeing the care of patients across various age groups.

Operating under moderate supervision, this position identifies patient requirements and provides exceptional care in accordance with the established care plan.

This role is dedicated to the recovery of specialized patients within the facility.

Key Responsibilities

1. Monitor patients in the recovery area, assessing their condition to ensure safe recovery and to identify any potential complications.

2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring patients receive accurate and timely care.

3. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to guarantee positive patient outcomes and coordinated care from the entire healthcare team.

4. Maintain thorough documentation of patient care to ensure accurate medical records.

5. Ensure that all equipment and supplies are well-maintained and readily available in the recovery area.

6. Seek guidance from senior management regarding complex treatment plans and other challenges requiring advanced understanding.

7. Perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Education: Required: Associate's Degree

Experience: Required: 3 years as a Registered Nurse with at least 1 year in a clinical specialty as recognized by ANCC or national nursing organizations.

Licensure/Certification: Required:
Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
BLS (CPR) certification from American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
