About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Executive Sales Manager to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing all Sales processes and working closely with the SVP Operations to manage branch operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Growth: Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth within the market.
  • Team Management: Establish goals and targets for the sales team, as well as programs to motivate and incentivize them.
  • Customer Retention: Focus on retaining existing customers and building strong relationships with them.
  • Budgeting: Create revenue and expenditure budgets for the sales team.
  • Selling Strategies: Develop different selling strategies for specific target markets.
  • Account Management: Manage account reps to turn them into sales people.
  • Industry Participation: Participate in industry functions, committees, and association gatherings.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop expertise in flooring products and services.
  • Meetings and Communication: Attend weekly meetings and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Event Participation: Establish and enforce guidelines for apartment association and event participation.
  • Market Trends and Competitor Activity: Stay up-to-date on market trends and competitor activity, working closely with the Executive Team.
  • Presentation Materials: Develop presentation materials to support company sales objectives.
  • Team Building: Meet and spend time with all team members, from management to bottom.
  • Trade Shows and Conferences: Participate in trade shows and conferences to represent the company.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Team Supervision: Supervise sales and warehouse operations teams.
  • Hiring and Training: Interview, hire, and train new staff.
  • Daily Workflow: Oversee the daily workflow of the branch.
  • Performance Evaluations: Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Discipline and Termination: Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

Competencies:

  • Communication: Demonstrate the ability to communicate, present, and influence others credibly and effectively within all levels of the organization.
  • Sales Process: Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
  • Business Sense: Strong business sense and industry expertise.

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Work Experience: Minimum 4 years of operations management experience required.
  • Flooring Industry Experience: Flooring industry experience a plus.
  • Inventory Control Experience: Inventory control experience a plus.
  • Bilingual: Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
