About the Role:



The Tulalip Tribes is seeking a skilled Victim Support Specialist to join our Legacy of Healing department. As a Victim Support Specialist, you will provide culturally sensitive and trauma-informed advocacy, emotional support, and crisis intervention services to adults and children who have been victims of crime. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping us provide comprehensive support to those in need.

Key Responsibilities:



• Provide advocacy services and support, including crisis intervention, resource referrals, safety planning, and coordination with law enforcement, health professionals, and community agencies for victims.

• Assist with completing necessary paperwork and reports.

• Collaborate with the Lead Family Advocate or Director on departmental work and special projects.

Requirements:



• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

• Associate Degree in Human Services or a related field (relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis).

• One (1) year of experience working with and advocating for trauma victims.

• One (1) year of experience utilizing Microsoft Office programs.

• One (1) year of working in an office environment.

Preferred Qualifications:



• Typing 30 wpm.

• WA State Driver's License and adherence to Motor Vehicle Regulations (Personal Auto Insurance & Abstract Required).

• 40 hours of advocacy training or completion within 6 months of hire date.

• Completion of 8 hours of DEI Training (every 2 years).

• Mandated Reporter training annually.

• Eligibility to work in a designated Safe Zone per Title 4. Section 4.25.680.

• Successful completion of a pre-employment background check.

This is a grant-funded contracted position.
