Position: Property Asset Assistant

We are currently seeking a dedicated Property Asset Assistant to join our team in the Greater Washington, DC, Metro area. The ideal candidate will engage in fundamental personal property operations, which encompass assisting with physical inventories, resolving inventory discrepancies, and preparing equipment for surplus. This role involves supporting multiple Agency personnel simultaneously while executing property life cycle tasks under supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct physical inventories and ensure quality assurance of outcomes.
  • Perform direct searches and investigations for missing property.
  • Investigate and document property located within the facilities.
  • Gather necessary documentation for Property Requests (e.g., Loans, Trade-ins, Decal Deletions).
  • Collaborate with lab managers and Accountable Users to address missing property issues.
  • Label newly acquired property and complete decal worksheets without requiring further investigation.
  • Complete all mandated training courses successfully.

Location: On-site in the Washington DC Metro Area.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • ITIL or a related certification in IT asset management is advantageous.
  • Experience in inventorying IT assets is essential.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience is required with a Bachelor's degree.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience is required with a High School diploma.
  • Strong communication skills and meticulous attention to detail are necessary.
  • US Citizenship or permanent residency is required, along with the ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
  • Availability for on-site work is mandatory.
