About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team at Doyon Government Group. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple construction projects in various locations, ensuring timely completion, and meeting client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Plan, direct, and coordinate activities for complex government construction projects, adhering to company policies, procedures, and governmental regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Lead high-performance teams, supervise, train, coach, and mentor staff to ensure regular feedback and timely completion of employee performance appraisals.
  • Client Relationships: Develop and improve client relationships, fostering a trusted advisor status and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Contract Administration: Understand and administer contract and subcontract agreements, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
  • Quality Assurance: Manage the project Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to industry standards.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks, providing leadership in risk evaluation, contract negotiations, and fee and pricing decisions.
  • Communication: Utilize project management software, provide regular updates to stakeholders, and ensure effective communication with team members, clients, and vendors.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of direct project management experience in commercial, civil, or federal government projects, with experience working on U.S. Navy (NAVFAC), Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), or USAFB federal contracts.
  • Skills: Proven written and verbal communication abilities, proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software, and critical path method scheduling experience.
  • Certifications: OSHA 30, CPR-First Aid safety, EM, and Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQMC) or ability to obtain certification.
