About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Superintendent to join our team at Doyon Government Group. As a Construction Superintendent, you will be responsible for coordinating all site construction activities and supervising field personnel to ensure successful project completion on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate and supervise all construction activities to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Site Management: Maintain a safe and organized job site, including the construction office.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and direct all field personnel to achieve project goals.
  • Quality Control: Ensure high-quality workmanship and compliance with original plans and specifications.
  • Safety Management: Administer good construction safety practices and maintain accurate safety documentation.
  • Communication: Maintain daily contact with project managers to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and solve problems to ensure project success.
  • Estimating: Estimate projects and prepare accurate cost estimates.
  • Materials Management: Coordinate and procure materials for self-performance work.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field (desirable but not required); experience can substitute.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction, with 5 years as a construction superintendent on projects similar in size and complexity.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, and Primavera scheduling software.
  • Certifications: OSHA 30 certification, CPR & First Aid certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Quality Control and Safety Certifications: Possession of quality control and safety certifications.
Working Environment

The majority of the work is performed in an indoor/outdoor setting with a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities, and abilities.

Physical Demands

An individual will be required to perform climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and repeat motions. Light Work: Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 15 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects is required.
