About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Healthcare Analytics Manager to lead our population health analytics team and drive significant enhancements to our data and analytics platform. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with product managers, data engineers, and other data scientists to identify new opportunities, design, develop, and implement machine learning algorithms and predictive analytics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate team members' efforts across the Analytics Data Science lifecycle, including data modeling, algorithm development, and model implementation.
  • Develop and implement algorithms and predictive models, including claims-based medical spend analyses, to drive business growth and improved user experience.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and other engineering and analytics team members to collect, process, cleanse, organize, and analyze data to produce actionable insights.
  • Communicate your team's work clearly and responsively to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless collaboration and consensus-driven decision-making.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest machine learning technology and data science practices, applying this knowledge to advance the organization's mission and drive innovation.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience in a Data Science/Analytics role within a digital health or healthcare organization, including 2+ years leading a Data Science team and 5+ years managing teams.
  • Proficiency in statistical methods, including parametric and non-parametric statistical testing and multivariate analysis.
  • Proficiency in machine learning algorithms, including supervised and unsupervised learning.
  • Proficiency in data structures and data models, and the ability to leverage them to increase analytics efficiency and performance.
  • Knowledge of claims categorization or claims groupers is preferred.
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Science is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Data Science best practices, continuous integration, and test-driven development.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to relate how proposed data science techniques can drive business growth and improved user experience.
  • Proficiency in Python is required, and proficiency in SQL is also preferred.
