Job Summary

The Director of Critical Care Services is a key leadership position responsible for the strategic planning, direction, and organization of the inpatient Critical Care Services Department at AHMC Healthcare. This role requires a seasoned healthcare professional with a strong background in nursing and management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to guide the provision of critical care services.
  • Oversee the operational management of the Critical Care Services Department, including program development, operational improvement, and financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including Title 22 and Joint Commission standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians, administration, and hospital staff to integrate critical care services with AHMC Healthcare's primary functions.
  • Develop and implement quality control programs to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff, including orientation, in-service training, and continuing education.
  • Participate in selecting outside sources for needed services and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Licensed RN with a minimum of 5 years of progressive management responsibility or related administrative experience.
  • BSN required; Master's Degree in Nursing or Business preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including personnel management, cost reduction, productivity enhancement, and interdisciplinary practice.
  • Experience working with physicians, administration, and hospital staff, with a strong clinical background and sound clinical assessment skills.
  • Highly developed sense of initiative and flexibility, with good judgment and analytical skills.
  • Effective motivational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with technology and ability to participate actively in the selection and purchase of capital equipment.
