Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development/Capture Manager to join our team at the Universities Space Research Association. This role will be responsible for driving business growth, identifying new opportunities, and developing strategic partnerships with government agencies and industry leaders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to drive revenue growth and expand our customer base
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including government contracts and partnerships
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry leaders, and internal teams
  • Develop and manage capture plans, including market research, competitor analysis, and proposal development
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute proposal strategies
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on business development progress and pipeline
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, engineering, or business
  • 10+ years of experience in business development, capture management, or technical program management
  • Proven track record of success in driving business growth and identifying new opportunities
  • Strong network of contacts within government agencies and industry leaders
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills
Working Conditions

This role requires extensive online usage and keyboarding for large time spans each day. Telecommute options are available, with a preference for Washington, DC, or close proximity to current/potential customers. Travel up to 25% may be required.
