Position Overview:
The Inside Loan Originator plays a crucial role in transforming inbound premium leads into mortgage loans by showcasing CrossCountry Mortgage's competitive offerings. This position involves consulting with clients to understand their current and future financing needs, gathering and reviewing necessary loan documentation, and adhering to production and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish a strong presence for CCM by effectively converting incoming leads.
  • Analyze current mortgage rates and programs to provide timely and accurate information to clients.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with potential borrowers.
  • Engage in all aspects of mortgage loan origination, including client meetings, counseling, and application processing via phone.
  • Manage your personal pipeline to meet service standards and financial objectives.
  • Stay informed about various borrowing programs and changes in products.
  • Utilize in-house technical systems and programs effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal and state regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • At least 2 years of experience in loan origination within a consumer direct or call center setting.
  • Possession of an NMLS License in accordance with the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008.
  • Proven experience in converting leads and handling inbound calls.
  • Ability to collect and analyze borrower income and demonstrate strong negotiation skills.
  • Solid understanding of retail product philosophy, policies, underwriting, procedures, and documentation.
  • Analytical skills to assess credit requests and identify market trends.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Experience with Encompass is a plus.
  • Proficiency in standard software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
