Job Title: Patient Care Coordinator

Mass Lung & Allergy PC is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answer multi-line phones and direct calls to the appropriate staff member or handle caller's needs.
  • Greet patients, check them in, and obtain necessary information, including insurance details and signatures.
  • Work on active claims, contact patients for missing information, and assist with Kiosk, Portal, and Healow usage.
  • Provide patients with intake and new patient forms, office policies, and legally required documents.
  • Enter faxes into patient charts, schedule follow-up appointments, and process payments.
  • Schedule appointments, correct no-shows, and retrieve messages.
  • Monitor office supply inventory, cover responsibilities at other offices, and maintain a clean and organized waiting area.
  • Provide support and guidance to patients, attend staff meetings, and perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Beginner to intermediate computing and phone skills.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends, flexibility in job duties, and multitasking skills.
  • Working knowledge of Universal Precautions and confidentiality standards.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish and/or other languages preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License, insurance, and ability to travel as required.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma (or GED) required.
  • Experience working in a medical office setting, electronic medical records experience preferred.
  • Previous experience with insurance and referrals preferred.
