Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Grocery Stocker to join our team at Lowes Foods. As a key member of our grocery department, you will be responsible for ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and that our store is well-stocked and organized.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Excellent Guest Service: Engage with guests in a friendly and courteous manner, responding to their needs and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Stock and Rotate Grocery Products: Receive and stock grocery products on shelves according to Lowes Foods standards and productivity guidelines, ensuring that products are facing forward and at the correct height.
  • Maintain a Clean and Safe Work Environment: Ensure that the sales floor and backroom areas are clean, organized, and free of hazards, allowing guests to shop safely and comfortably.
  • Manage Inventory and Merchandise: Assist with unloading and verifying merchandise upon delivery, and maintain organized and inventoried backstock in the backroom area.
  • Minimize Damage and Shrink: Implement effective inventory control measures to minimize damage and shrink, and ensure that products are handled and rotated properly.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate temperature problems to supervisors and perform front-end duties as necessary to ensure a seamless shopping experience for guests.
  • Work Collaboratively: Collaborate with the Grocery Manager and Store Manager to meet guest demand for grocery items and ensure adequate product levels throughout the grocery department.
  • Perform Other Duties as Assigned: Perform all other duties as assigned by management, including ordering and merchandising ad items to maximize sales and profits.
Requirements
  • Friendly and Outgoing Personality: Possess a friendly and outgoing personality, with excellent communication and guest service skills.
  • Ability to Work Well with Others: Demonstrate the ability to work well with others, including colleagues and management.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to lift 40 lbs. constantly and 60 lbs. occasionally, and stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods of time.
  • Knowledge of Grocery Operations: Possess knowledge of grocery operations and be able to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
