  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance, orientation, training, and feedback to ensure that grocery department hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  • Stocking and Guest Service: Perform product stocking and guest service as necessary to achieve standards, ensuring that our customers have a seamless shopping experience.
  • Staffing and Scheduling: Maintain department's staffing and scheduling standards, ensuring that we have the right people in the right place at the right time.
  • Shrink Control: Control grocery shrink through proper implementation of the stock loss program, minimizing losses and protecting our profits.
  • Pricing and Scanning: Ensure proper pricing and item scanning through price audits and proper scanning procedures, ensuring that our customers are charged accurately and that we maintain a high level of inventory accuracy.
  • Backroom Maintenance: Ensure that the backroom is properly maintained, keeping our storage areas clean and organized.
  • Advertised Items: Ensure that advertised items are available, signed, and scanning correctly, promoting a positive shopping experience for our customers.
  • Inventory Preparation: Help prepare the grocery department for grocery inventory, ensuring that our shelves are always fully stocked and our customers have access to the products they need.
  • Collaboration: Work with Store Manager, Grocery Manager, and Receiver to maintain product levels and conditions associated with vendor product, ensuring that we have the right products in stock at the right time.
  • Additional Duties: Perform all other duties as assigned by management, contributing to the overall success of our store.

Requirements:

  • Personality: Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership: Ability to supervise people, including training and development, and demonstrate a willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 40 lbs. consistently and 60 lbs. occasionally, as well as bend, kneel, stand, push/pull stock carts, and operate a pallet jack for extended periods of time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Supermarket Knowledge: 1-3 years of supermarket experience, with a strong understanding of grocery operations and customer service principles.
  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and sales growth.
