Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Grocery Stocker to join our team at IGA Southeast. As a Grocery Stocker, you will play a critical role in maintaining the visual appeal and organization of our store's shelves, ensuring that our products are always available and easily accessible to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stocking and Merchandising: Receive, stock, and rotate merchandise on shelves according to company standards and productivity guidelines.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including the sales floor and backroom areas, to ensure a positive shopping experience for our customers.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and inventory backstock in the backroom area, minimizing damage and shrink through proper inventory control and rotation of shelves and overstock.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by being approachable, friendly, and responsive to customer needs and concerns.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other team members to achieve store goals and objectives.
  • Adaptability: Be flexible and willing to adapt to changing priorities and tasks as needed.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 40 pounds constantly and 60 pounds occasionally, as well as stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with others and provide excellent customer service.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Basic knowledge of grocery operations and inventory management, with the ability to learn and adapt to new tasks and technical requirements.
