Position Overview

- Acquire mastery of store products, services, loyalty programs, and Macy's sales systems to assist customers in finding what they need and recommending additional items.
- Uphold department recovery standards, including maintaining the selling floor and fitting rooms.
- Ensure optimal merchandise presentation, accurate pricing, and timely markdown processing.
- Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of the products being sold, providing expert guidance to customers based on their preferences and choices.
- Communication: Comfortable interacting with customers in person, over the phone, and virtually.
- Sales: Ability to build rapport with customers, meet sales objectives, and engage in pre-selling and sales-enhancing events.
- Technology: Proficient in using point-of-sale technology and applications to assist in selling and fulfilling customer orders.
- Continuous Learning: Self-motivated to stay updated on product knowledge and trends, completing all training through Macy's educational resources.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal abilities, capable of working effectively with colleagues at all levels and across departments.

- No specific education or experience required.
- Prolonged periods (at least two consecutive hours) of standing or walking throughout the store or department.
- Frequent use of computers and handheld electronic devices.
- Reaching, including above eye level, crouching, kneeling, and color vision.
- This role involves lifting, constant movement, standing, reaching with arms and hands, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 30 lbs.
