Job Title: Customer Service Instant Return Representative

At Hertz, we are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Instant Return Representative. This role is a critical part of our airport location team, and the successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients as they return their vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Provide world-class customer service by managing the vehicle return process, ensuring compliance with Hertz's policies and procedures.
  • Personalized Service: Welcome customers with a pleasant greeting and professional attitude, assist with luggage, and answer questions in a friendly manner.
  • Invoice and Explanation: Provide customers with an invoice and a full explanation of their charges.
  • Issue Resolution: Resolve customer issues and concerns professionally using effective customer service techniques.
  • Vehicle Inspection: Inspect vehicles and record any new damage or major cleaning requirements and complete required documentation.
  • Fuel and Mileage: Check fuel level and mileage and clearly explain final charges to the customer.
  • Vehicle Security: Secure vehicle keys from the customer and ensure they stay with the vehicle while reminding customers to remove their personal belongings.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement by communicating customer feedback to the team and engaging in action planning to improve operational performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Appearance and Grooming: Maintain appearance appropriate for providing best-in-class customer service in accordance with established guidelines.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Customer Service Passion: Passion for customer service and attention to detail - goes the extra mile.
  • Experience: A minimum of one year of sales or customer experience in a high-volume or service-oriented environment.
  • Sales and Closing Skills: Proven strong sales and closing skills and the ability to communicate in a friendly, engaging manner.
  • Computer Proficiency: Basic computer proficiency.
