Legal Business Development Manager

We are seeking an intellectually curious, enthusiastic attorney who will help address the novel and complex legal and business issues that confront a fast-growing company committed to innovation.

As an integral member of our fast-paced, well-rounded, collaborative Legal team in Chicago, you will play an active role in fulfilling LinkedIn's mission of connecting the world's professionals to make them more productive and successful.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial and technology transactions, with prior in-house experience with a public company and/or law firm experience working with the sales teams in technology companies. Substantive knowledge of intellectual property law and privacy law is also preferred.

Beyond technical expertise, we are looking for someone with honed communication and analytical skills, with an emphasis on creative and critical thinking, excellent written/verbal communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work independently and efficiently, meeting demanding deadlines, prioritizing workflow and adjusting to frequent workload fluctuations.

This role offers the opportunity to create leverage by identifying and implementing scalable processes to deliver legal services and drive business results. You will also partner with Sales and other internal stakeholders throughout the customer lifecycle to ensure customer success and protection of LinkedIn.

Estimated salary range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
