Job Summary:

As a key member of our culinary team, the Executive Chef - Hourly (Full Time) will be responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of kitchen associates, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of cooks and other kitchen associates to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
  • Ensure all food handling, sanitation, and customer service standards are met, adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise hourly kitchen associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and recommending disciplinary action as needed.
  • Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes, meeting production, delivery, and service schedules.
  • Ensure proper presentation, food quality, portion control, and maintenance of proper serving temperatures.
  • Track food use, waste, and consumption to requisition or purchase product as needed.
  • Receive and inspect product and supplies for quality and quantity to ensure appropriate inventory.
  • Maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils, and clean workstations thoroughly before leaving the area.
  • Help select and develop recipes and menus to meet customer preferences and dietary requirements.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced foodservice environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train kitchen associates.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, with a focus on customer satisfaction and quality service.
