Department Overview

The College of Sciences is dedicated to fostering curiosity and innovation to create scientific solutions. Our collaborative environment spans six distinguished schools, mentoring future leaders in advancing human knowledge.

Position Summary
The Facilities Manager I will report to the Facilities Director and act as a vital liaison among various departments within the College. This role requires collaboration with facility managers, maintenance teams, and departmental representatives, emphasizing a strong grasp of research and educational environments.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee building maintenance, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
  2. Coordinate office relocations within the facility.
  3. Manage the delivery and installation of furniture and equipment.
  4. Maintain the building access control system.
  5. Facilitate special events within the facility.
  6. Order necessary repair services.
  7. Coordinate with external vendors and contractors.
  8. Conduct annual equipment inventory and maintain records.
  9. Update emergency preparedness plans and related documentation.
  10. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Educational Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 3-5 years in a related field.

Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency in office applications, and familiarity with building maintenance processes.
