Department Overview
The College of Sciences is dedicated to nurturing curiosity and fostering scientific innovation. The Facilities Manager I plays a pivotal role in liaising with various departments within the College, ensuring seamless operations across multiple facilities.

Role Summary
The Facilities Manager I is tasked with overseeing the operational aspects of fourteen assigned facilities within the College of Sciences. This includes managing maintenance and repair issues, coordinating office relocations, and overseeing the delivery and installation of furniture and equipment. The role necessitates regular interaction with building occupants, department heads, contractors, and vendors to facilitate efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities
1. Manage routine and emergency maintenance functions, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
2. Coordinate office relocations within the facility, ensuring adherence to schedules.
3. Oversee the delivery and installation of building equipment.
4. Maintain the building access control system, including card entry and key management.
5. Facilitate arrangements for special events held within the facility.
6. Order repair services as necessary.
7. Coordinate services provided by external vendors and contractors.
8. Conduct annual equipment inventory and maintain relevant records.
9. Update and manage the emergency preparedness plan for the facility.
10. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Educational Requirements: High school diploma, GED, or Vocational School Diploma.
Other Required Qualifications: Valid Georgia Driver's License; ability to adhere to safety protocols; physical capability to lift objects up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Experience: Three to five years of relevant experience.

Skills and Abilities
This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, familiarity with building maintenance processes, and proficiency in office-related computer applications.
