Department Overview
The College of Sciences is at the forefront of scientific inquiry and innovation. Our team of scientists and mathematicians collaborates across disciplines to push the boundaries of knowledge and create impactful solutions. We are looking for a Facilities Manager I to oversee operations across multiple facilities within the College.
Position Summary
The Facilities Manager I will report directly to the Facilities Director and act as a vital link among various departments within the College. This role requires a thorough understanding of research labs, educational environments, and administrative spaces.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage all aspects of building operations for assigned facilities, ensuring timely and effective maintenance and repairs.
2. Coordinate office relocations and oversee the delivery and installation of furniture and equipment.
3. Maintain the building access control system and manage office key distribution.
4. Facilitate special events and coordinate vendor services as needed.
5. Conduct annual equipment inventory and maintain accurate records.
6. Develop and manage emergency preparedness plans for the facilities.
Qualifications
Educational Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in facilities management or a related field.
Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency in office applications, and knowledge of building maintenance processes.
