Facilities Maintenance and Grounds Care Associate

Position Overview:

As an integral part of the facilities team, you will undertake essential housekeeping and landscaping responsibilities for Family Solutions locations. This role is designed as a part-time position, offering between 20 to 30 hours of work each week.

Key Responsibilities:

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Conduct general cleaning tasks, including sanitizing common areas, restrooms, windows, walls, and carpets, as well as mopping, vacuuming, and managing waste disposal according to the established cleaning schedule.
  • Maintain cleanliness in resident and communal spaces through spot cleaning as necessary.
  • Dust and clean furniture, baseboards, and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Perform thorough cleaning of both occupied and vacant residential areas.
  • Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained at the end of each shift.
  • Restock essential supplies such as paper towels and hand soap as required.
  • Regularly assess work areas to guarantee cleanliness and compliance with sanitation standards.
  • Collaborate with the Facilities Coordinator to manage housekeeping supply inventory effectively.
  • Promptly report any items that require replacement or repair to the Facilities Coordinator.
  • Maintain a safe environment by ensuring that hazardous chemicals or cleaning products are properly managed.
  • Utilize appropriate supplies, equipment, and chemicals for all cleaning tasks, seeking guidance from the Facilities Coordinator when necessary.
  • Engage in basic landscaping activities, including mowing, trimming, and watering as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check as required.
  • Capacity to meet the physical demands associated with daily responsibilities.
