Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and mentor custodial staff.
  2. Participate in the recruitment, promotion, and termination processes for custodial personnel.
  3. Conduct performance evaluations for custodial staff.
  4. Create and manage custodial schedules, assigning daily tasks and special projects.
  5. Inspect facilities to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
  6. Assist custodial staff with cleaning and event setup as needed.
  7. Maintain an inventory of custodial supplies and equipment.
  8. Collaborate with the Facilities Director's assistant for procurement of custodial resources.
  9. Delegate daily work requests and ensure timely completion.
  10. Perform maintenance on custodial equipment, coordinating major repairs as necessary.
  11. Manage timekeeping for custodial staff and oversee time-off requests.
  12. Transport and deliver equipment and supplies across facilities.
  13. Execute additional tasks as directed by the Facilities Associate Director.
  14. Ensure safety measures are in place during inclement weather.
  15. Facilitate recycling initiatives where applicable.
  16. Effectively manage multiple projects, prioritizing tasks and reallocating resources as needed.

Qualifications:

A GED is required; relevant work experience may substitute for educational requirements. A minimum of five years in custodial roles with supervisory experience is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required, along with knowledge of custodial tools and equipment maintenance.

Additional Skills:

Ability to foster a positive work environment through effective communication and professionalism. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are necessary.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks such as climbing, bending, and scrubbing.

Work Schedule:

This position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, with occasional evening and weekend duties.

Preferred Skills:

Proficiency in both Spanish and English is advantageous, along with a positive demeanor and the ability to collaborate with diverse individuals.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000
