Application Support Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Application Support Analyst to join our team on a long-term contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our client's applications, ensuring high availability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform technical operational tasks on a routine basis within the agreed-upon Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • Troubleshoot issues reported by users and self-detected issues within the SLA, independently resolving all known issues and 80% of newly occurred issues, including data investigations.
  • Monitor and recover all processes, maintaining environment stability.
  • Coordinate with Level 3 and Development teams on resolving issues in the production environment and provide feedback.
  • Collect environment improvement points and provide a plan to the Development team and application owners.
  • Plan and coordinate release knowledge sharing, migrations, disaster recovery, and documentations.
  • Provide knowledge and support training for new team members.
  • Develop support scripts and simplify issue-investigation scripts.
  • Take the lead on new implementations and rollouts.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in application development and/or Application support.
  • 3+ years in Ab Initio and Database related projects.
  • 3+ years with Unix commands, Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, ETL, WebSphere, job scheduling tools, system monitoring tools like App Dynamic.
  • Knowledge on IT service process ITIL and have a mindset of DevOps.
  • Knowledge on Ab Initio, Hadoop, and shell scripting is preferred.
  • Knowledge on Finance accounting domain.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, troubleshooting, and log analysis skills throughout application components.
  • Willing to work flexible hours.
