Position Overview:

The Senior Portfolio Analyst plays a crucial role in assisting the Asset Manager by recognizing and alleviating the credit, financial, operational, physical, and market risks that affect the collateral within the Servicing Portfolio. This position involves executing daily risk management tasks in collaboration with team members, borrowers, guarantors, and various governmental and industry entities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct continuous asset management and surveillance of construction projects to identify and assess risks.
  • Evaluate Construction Draw Requests and Monitoring Reports to confirm the adequacy of documentation and provide recommendations for Investor approval. Assess reserve withdrawals for Borrowers' eligible expenses and suggest approvals to Management.
  • Assist in tracking compliance requirements to ensure borrowers meet their post-closing obligations, including immediate repairs and timely financial reporting. Maintain updates in all internal systems related to this information.
  • Oversee the collection of monthly and quarterly financial statements, along with the analysis of property financial data for loans assigned to the Asset Manager and personal portfolio, contributing to quarterly and annual assessments for lenders.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all stakeholders by responding promptly and accurately to inquiries and information requests.
  • Analyze the financial performance of borrowers, guarantors, key stakeholders, and other relevant parties.
  • For a select portfolio of loans, carry out ongoing asset management and surveillance to identify, monitor, and mitigate various risks affecting the properties securing the portfolio, seeking guidance from Lender Leads as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal teams.
  • Ensure timely receipt of monthly and quarterly financials.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in real estate asset or portfolio management, finance, or mortgage servicing.
  • A bachelor's degree in business, preferably in accounting, banking, finance, or real estate.
  • A background in commercial real estate is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and communicate effectively while building new and existing relationships.
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated individual capable of working independently.
  • Ability to thrive in a diverse environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Creative and adaptable approach to problem-solving and organizational challenges.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
