New York, New York, United States New Yorkers For Children Full time

About New Yorkers For Children

New Yorkers For Children is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping youth in foster care thrive as independent adults. Founded in 1996, we have established ourselves as an independent partner to the NYC Administration for Children's Services (ACS) to address the needs of young people that the system cannot provide.

Our mission is to empower these individuals with the necessary academic, professional, and personal support services to overcome challenges and achieve their goals. We occupy a unique position within New York City's child welfare landscape, allowing us to foster close relationships and address mental health challenges collaboratively.

As we look ahead to our next chapter, NYFC is launching an ambitious new strategy to reach more young people impacted by the child welfare and juvenile justice systems through career and life-skills opportunities, financial assistance, and career pathways programs.

This individual will play a crucial role in supporting our growth through donor cultivation, prospect research, stewardship, data management, proposal writing, and event planning.
