Capital Campaign Coordinator Opportunity at The New York Shakespeare Festival

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-centric self-starter to serve as our Capital Campaign Coordinator. This is a temporary, full-time administrative and project support role for the Capital Campaign, a major fundraising initiative at The New York Shakespeare Festival.

This position will involve drafting, reviewing, and distributing varied communications, tracking donor activity and related recognition, as well as other tasks related to the Capital Campaign. You will have direct and frequent engagement with the development team and other departments at The New York Shakespeare Festival.

About the Role
  • This is a temporary position that will report to the Deputy Director of Development and work closely with The Public's Capital Campaign Consultant, The Public Theater's Advancement Services team, and frontline fundraisers.

The ideal candidate will have some development or capital campaign experience, possess excellent writing and verbal communication skills, and have experience working in a donor database/CRM. This candidate should be self-motivated, highly-organized with good prioritization, and will work well both independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support day-to-day functions of The New York Shakespeare Festival's Capital Campaign.
  • Create and submit all gift forms for Capital Campaign gifts.
  • Process all Capital Campaign inbox emails and respond quickly, efficiently, and accurately to donor requests.
  • Organize and track all communications around seat naming campaigns.
  • Draft donor outreach and communications related to solicitations, updates, donor recognition, and acknowledgments.
  • Assist in preparing proposals and materials for campaign-related communications.
  • Track and maintain campaign donor lists at all levels for recognition signage.
  • Confirm proofs of signage with all donors following completion of copy approval from all donors.
  • Perform logistic and administrative tasks related to all campaign events and stewardship, including ticketing and reservations.
  • Maintain documentation and resources for Capital Campaign giving.
  • Maintain Capital Campaign donor and prospect records in Tessitura.
  • Perform other tasks/duties as they arise related to the Capital Campaign.

Pursuing this Opportunity: A salary of $26 per hour is offered for this position, which is a competitive rate considering the location and requirements.
