Job Title: Paralegal

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Paralegal to join our dynamic team at Consumer Legal Group. As a Paralegal, you will play a vital role in supporting our attorneys and clients in resolving debt-related challenges. Your expertise in settlement and negotiation will be instrumental in advocating for our clients and achieving favorable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain professional relationships with clients while ensuring confidentiality
  • Handle client inquiries and correspondence with compassion and accuracy
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, co-workers, attorneys, and external parties
  • Collaborate with team members to foster a positive and cooperative work environment
  • Conduct legal research to gather relevant information for cases, contracts, and legal opinions
  • Draft, review, and organize correspondence and documents to ensure accuracy and adherence to company and legal guidelines
  • Assist attorneys and review legal documents
  • Coordinate with parties to advocate for clients
  • Maintain client file organization and readiness for trial
  • Update legal databases, filing systems, and document repositories
  • Assist in conducting due diligence reviews and compliance checks
  • Identify and analyze discrepancies within cases and raise them to attorneys
  • Attend training sessions to enhance professional knowledge and skills
  • Assist colleagues and contribute to team goals

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience working in a firm required
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Paralegal studies or similar, Paralegal Certification; or an equivalent mix of education and experience
  • Excellent and empathetic communicator with customer service skills
  • Uphold the highest standards of professional ethics, integrity, and confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently while adhering to deadlines and maintaining a high level of productivity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to comprehend complex legal concepts and convey them clearly to clients

  • Adaptable and comfortable with a level of change as a growing company
  • Strong understanding of legal concepts, procedures, and terminology
  • Familiarity with legal research methods and resources
  • Attention to detail to maintain accurate client records
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Compensation: Salary range of 50,000 – $75,000 dependent on experience.
