We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paralegal to join our team at Women for Afghan Women (WAW). As a Paralegal, you will play a critical role in supporting our attorneys with immigration law cases, including family-based immigration, employment-based immigration, asylum, adjustment of status, and naturalization.
Responsibilities:- Communicate with clients, perform intakes, collect evidence, and complete USCIS applications.
- Provide clients with case updates and assist attorneys with file organization and case preparation.
- Correspond with government and law enforcement agencies, and draft affidavits, personal statements, and evidence submissions for attorney review.
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience working as a Paralegal in a law firm or not-for-profit handling immigration matters.
- Strong administrative, organizational, communication, and writing skills, with experience using Microsoft Office/Google Office suite.
- Able to take initiative and be comfortable asking questions when necessary to complete tasks correctly.
- Ability to read, write, and speak Dari and/or Pashto a plus.
- Punctual, responsible, and reliable, with a willingness to take on new responsibilities and challenging tasks.
