About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Paralegal Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation support and be proficient in drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery demands.

Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and Filing Documents: Draft all pleadings, including summons and complaints, and BPs, as well as motions, discovery demands, and responding to discovery demands.
  • Case Management: Prepare and file RJIs, Notes of Issue, Notice of Entry, and Stipulations.
  • Medical Record Review: Obtain lien information from medical providers, Workers Compensation, and Medicaid/Medicare.
  • E-Filing: Must be able to E-file/NYSCEF.
  • Client Communication: Heavy client contact daily, including requesting, reviewing, and summarizing relevant medical records.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in litigation support or a related field.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Skills: Strong writing and communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience with E-filing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • New York Labor Law (Construction Accident) Cases: Experience with New York Labor Law (Construction Accident) cases is a plus.
