Key Responsibilities- Business Strategy & Growth: Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to drive market expansion and increase revenue for the industrial refrigeration division.
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify key industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities. Use this information to inform your strategy and make data-driven decisions.
- Lead Generation & Sales: Generate new leads and business opportunities through targeted outreach, leveraging existing networks, and attending industry events. Convert prospects into long-term customers and drive revenue growth.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners. Ensure customer satisfaction and address any concerns or issues promptly.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, marketing, and operations teams to ensure product offerings meet customer needs and align with business goals.
- Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Monitor and report on sales performance, market trends, and business opportunities. Provide regular updates to senior management on business development activities and results.
- Leadership & Team Management: Lead and mentor the business development team, providing guidance and support to ensure individual and team goals are achieved.
- Contract Negotiation: Oversee contract negotiations to ensure favorable terms that balance business objectives with customer relationships.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar leadership role, preferably within the industrial refrigeration, HVAC, or manufacturing sectors.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of industrial refrigeration technologies, systems, and applications, including relevant standards and regulations.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in sales and business development, particularly in technical or industrial settings.
- Leadership & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships and lead high-performing teams.
- Negotiation & Problem-Solving: Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities to effectively manage customer relationships and drive business results.
- Project Management & Organization: Excellent project management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Compensation: A competitive base salary of $120,000 - $160,000 and an uncapped bonus structure.
